So what makes Eco Design so "unique"? We are a small boutique Fashion Design company that professionally began December, 2010 and long before that in a "Wild way". Eco Design is an established strong culture since 2000 and is continuing to grow in it's choice direction staying true to the company culture and brand. In the beginning we grew quickly and where invited by some of the top personalities in this business including Mike Kortoci (photographer) and events like Couture Fashion Week N.Y. this was an elating and some what surprising response. Our requests to interact hasn't stopped and Eco Design intends to respond even more dynamically in 2015.
Trina's idea of Eco Design came long before the company name. She was always fascinated with clothing and stitches. Raised among a sea of creative (s) in Pasadena, CA, yet not the gleaming creative protege until later on in life this gift became more profound. "And I don't want to miss one moment of exploration in this world of Design!"
Early in 2000 is "when my interest really began to grow". Trina would engage in conversation with friends and obsess about how to make fabric, from it's pure natural base. It was not just design but the implementation of the fabric and how it's put together that really fascinated me. In college from 2003 onward this fascination with fabric continued to grow and an Eco-friendly connection in-sued. However, from childhood, there was a very organic connection. I was always inclined to spent time with animals and nature. Flowers have always intrigued me, you'll see me use a lot of nature in my designs (3-D flowers).
"I always had severe allergies" growing up to food mostly, I remember my mom treating me as a little girl for these allergies with vitamin e. I also, remember smelling the strong smell of dyes in my 20's on clothing working in the retail stores and was always highly sensitive to clothing being very close to my skin. Over the years the idea of Eco-Design really came to me. It had to be in college because I didn't understand the true meaning of Design until then.
The objective goal of Eco Design is to truly reach out to humanity and help make a difference in sustainable production of clothing for future generations. In an effort to do so our company has struggled. However, there is always a struggle before greatness and we intend to truly make an impact with the P.G.T.B clothing line in 2014, this is our mission...
